TXT to EPUB Converter

Convert plain-text files into EPUB3 ebooks for Kindle and other readers. Select multiple files or a folder, choose text encoding to avoid garbled Chinese characters, and split long files into sections using blank lines. Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded.

How the Conversion Works

The converter reads each TXT file locally, decodes it with the encoding you choose, splits the text into chapters, and packages the result as a standards-compliant EPUB3 file. Converting a single file downloads one EPUB; converting multiple files or a folder exports a ZIP package with one EPUB per source file.

Choosing the Right Encoding

Use UTF-8 for most modern text files. If Chinese characters look garbled in the preview, switch to GB18030 and preview again — older Chinese TXT files are often saved in GBK/GB18030 rather than UTF-8.

Chapter Splitting

Long TXT files read poorly as one continuous block. Enable splitting by blank lines to break the content into readable EPUB sections, which also makes the table of contents useful on e-readers.

Privacy

All conversion happens in your browser. Your books never leave your device, there is no upload queue, and the tool keeps working offline once loaded.
